Is Fall here already? Seems like only last week we were putting the final touches on the 40th anniversary of the 2008 Midwest Claim Conference. Can it be this was nearly 6 months ago?
The Executive Committee worked very hard to bring to the delegates and exhibitors a great opportunity to get together, learn from each other, and share some professional camaraderie. Based on the feedback we received, we definitely met our goal. Here are just a few of the comments we've heard:
"If you keep putting on great conferences like the last one, people will come back."
"Excellent speakers"...."Best speakers I've heard in a while"..."Best speakers I have had at a conference..." "...wonderful array of excellant speakers"
"Workshops were excellent..." Great information, I learned a lot"
Putting together a successful conference takes a lot of dedication, from a lot of people. But, with comments like those above, the effort is all worth it. The realization that comes at the end, that great information was shared and that people felt they had benefited from their attending, is reward enough.
So, what about next year? The Executive Committee appreciates that economic impact has caused many companies to take a hard look at expenses. Unfortunately, in some cases, those expense reductions have come about by limiting attendance at professional conferences. We would ask you to consider this: Where else can you go to experience the caliber of professional speakers, choose from over 30 educational sessions, and increase your staff's knowledge and experience for very reasonable costs - locally?
As you are planning your 2009 budgets, the 2009 Midwest Claim Conference Executive Committee asks that you consider the advantages to having a professional claim conference in your backyard. The 2009 Conference is again being held in Lake Geneva, WI at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, May 6-8. You'll be pleased to know, work started immediately to bring to you the next terrific opportunity. With topics relating to issues involving Health, Life, Fraud, and Disability as just a few, plan on sending several of your staff, NOW! And, to assure you're getting the most for your money, we've added Friday afternoon sessions!
The committee's goal for 2009-- to make it even better than the 2008... See you there!!!
